Welcome to team Best Day Ever
We want to tell you a little bit of our story with Victory Junction. We went to Autism Day for the first time last year. Our family was blown away. We weren't alone. We weren't judged. We weren't stared at. We fit and we belonged! That was a life changing experience for us. We were able to see Jacob succeed! He rode horses. He did archery. He made friends. Let me say that again. He MADE FRIENDS. We were watching what Jacob could do instead of what he can't do yet. As we were leaving, Jacob proclaims "Best Day Ever". It really was.
Jacob has recently decided that running is fun. It is very hard for him. His body doesn't coordinate well and he struggles with overheating. Yet, he doesn't give up. He is the reason that we are running this race.
Our experience is just one of thousands. Victory Junction Camp is changing lives.
Here's a blurb about the camp:
Victory Junction is a medically safe, yet fun-filled camp where children with serious medical conditions can just be kids and not worry about doctor appointments or if they will be able to join in on the fun… because at camp they can do ANYTHING! The best part is, no family has to worry about the cost of camp because Victory Junction is always free to campers.
Victory Junction believes that every child, no matter their diagnosis, deserves to just be a kid. That’s why I am participating in Victory Junction’s 14th Annual Run to Victory to help send kids to camp. It costs $2,500 to send one child to camp.
