The Victory Junction Gang Camp is a place for children ages 6-16 with chronic medical conditions or serious illnesses to experience the excitement of camp. Located on 84 acres in Randleman, North Carolina, the camp was a vision of the late Adam Petty, grandson of NASCAR legend Richard Petty. Adam's family has continued with this vision and carry on his dream to provide a safe, fun, life-changing week of camp with 24-hour medical care at NO COST TO THE CHILDREN'S FAMILIES. Every summer session allows 128 campers with conditions such as Bleeding Disorders, Cancer, Gastrointestinal Disorders, Genetic Disorders, Heart Disease, Kidney Disease, Lung Disease, Sickle Cell Disease, Immunologic Disorders, Neurological Disorders, Rheumatologic Disorders, Skin Diseases, Spina Bifida, Burn Survivors and Transplant Recipients to participate in arts/crafts, mini-golf, woodworking, archery, swimming, boating/fishing, horseback riding, zip-lining, music/theater and much more during their week at camp. During the spring and fall seasons family weekends are available for 32 campers to enjoy a weekend of camp with their families. Victory Junction has served children from all 50 states and 4 countries since opening in 2004.
I believe as Victory Junction does that every child, no matter their illness or diagnosis, deserves to Just Be A Kid! That’s why in my efforts to raise funds and awareness for this great camp, I'll be taking part in a 5k for the second year in a row. I am participating in Victory Junction’s 13th Annual Run to Victory to help send kids to camp.
Would you be willing to help me? Either sign up to participate or donate to my page to help me raise funds, visit victoryjunction.org. It’s all about sending kids to camp and making the life of a child a little brighter!
Thank you for your help, but most importantly for your prayers for me and the children I hope to help send to camp.
